Operating Procedures for CNC Plasma Cutting Machine

As a cutting tool, CNC plasma cutting machines have been increasingly valued by many people. So how can CNC plasma cutting machines be operated? What should we do? Today, the editor will give you a brief introduction.




1. The first step is to check whether the intake air pressure of the plasma power supply meets the requirements and whether there is an alarm when the plasma power supply is turned on




2. Is there an alarm on the plasma power supply after pressing the start cutting torch and completing the positioning action. If there is an alarm, eliminate the fault according to the plasma power supply manual.




3. Turn on the switch for controlling the CNC in the power distribution cabinet in the workshop, turn on the main power supply of the cutting electromechanical cabinet, turn on the power supply of the dust removal controller, and start the dust collector.




4. After the CNC system is fully started, turn the emergency stop switch to the right and turn the power button to power on the drive




5. Customize each axis to return to zero, check and replace plasma vulnerable parts, and close the plasma power circuit breaker.




6. Turn on oxygen and compressed air, with each gas pressure at 8.3bar+-10%.




7. Call the cutting program and its corresponding database for calibration




8. Save the program cutting starting point to the reference point, turn on the plasma power supply, and adjust the gas settings




9. Start cutting, when pressing the start cutting button, check whether the cutting signals are normal according to the drawing




10. If encountering problems halfway, press the stop button to stop cutting. After troubleshooting, continue cutting.




11. After cutting, turn off the machine's computer power, plasma power, and all gas valves.




12. Finally, clean the machine, retain the rack, guide rails, and add oil




The general cutting signal timing is: press to start cutting; The CNC system receives external signals and sends a start cutting signal, or the CNC system directly sends a cutting signal; After the plasma cutting torch is selected, the plasma cutting torch of the height control system executes the positioning action, and the cutting torch nozzle contacts the steel plate and then rises back to the perforation height; After the leveling control system completes the positioning action, it sends a start cutting switch signal to the plasma power supply to start arc striking and perforation. After the perforation is completed, the machine tool begins to move and cut the workpiece.
